The lost site is a quite neglected transportation area located in the city center of Irun (Basque Country, Spain), a border city between Spain and France. In 1841, the Spanish border was established here and therefore, the customs function too. Since then, transportation, border and strong large-scale connections have shaped the economy and the urban landscape of Irun. What may be a connection on a large scale becomes a boundary or an obstacle on a smaller scale. The railway that passes through the city obstructs the relation between the neighbourhoods of San Miguel and Pío XII.
