The industrial past of Jesenice has remained strongly visible in the image of the city today. Steelmaking industry buildings, warhouses and abandoned ironworks still make a substantial mark in the urban structure.
The products of corrosion stay on the surface and protect it. Equally, the history of the site stays apparent in the plan, preserving its character.
